1. Reserve the stalks to use in stir fries or finely dice them and use in soups, fried rice, casseroles or even hide them in things like pasta sauces.
2. Please don't cut down on the oil. You simply won't get the caramelization when roasting.
2 medium heads of broccoli, broken or cut into small florets
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 shallot, finely sliced
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 tbsps *Tastic Original, plus more to taste
Zest and juice of half a lemon, plus 1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsps freshly grated parmesan cheese (Optional)
Preheat oven to 350F.
Place broccoli in medium bowl. In small bowl whisk oil, shallots, garlic, Tastic and lemon juice. Pour over broccoli and toss to fully coat.
Place in cast iron skillet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the tips of the florets are slightly browned.
Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle over the lemon juice. Sprinkle over lemon zest and parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
