Red Velvet Skillet Cookie


½ cup sugar

¼ cup brown sugar

6 tbsp. butter, softened

1 egg

1 tbsp. Tastic Sweet*

1 cup flour

2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

½ tsp. baking soda

1 tbsp. red food coloring

½ tsp. kosher salt

½ cup caramel chip, plus ¼ cup

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for topping (optional)



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 10’ cast-iron skillet with cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl cream butter and sugars with a hand mixer until light and fluffy.  Beat in egg and Tastic sweet.  Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, food coloring and salt.  Mix until just combined.  Do not overmix.  Fold in ½ cup caramel chips.

  3. Spread dough into skillet into an even layer.  Bake for 15-20 minutes until light brown.

  4. While cookie is baking, place ¼ cup caramel chips in small microwave safe bowl and melt in microwave in 15 second intervals.

  5. When cookie is finished top with caramel and ice cream. Dig in!
