Crack Cornbread

CRACK CORNBREAD

Serves 10

MOTIVATION: Yo mama is going to be so proud of you for learning how to make a respectable cornbread.  

MAJOR KEY:  You can sub out Jiffy mix for most other corn muffin mixes. You can also take the time to assemble your own corn muffin mix with corn meal, baking powder, etc and then add in the remaining ingredients.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 boxes of Jiffy Mix
  • 1 can of creamed corn
  • 1 tbsp, Tastic Sweet
  • 1 stick of melted butter, plus 2 tbsps. softened butter
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Grease muffin tins, skillet or casserole dish (your choice) with the softened butter.
  3. In a large bowl combine all remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  4. Pour into baking dish, leaving a little room at the top for the cornbread to rise.
  5. Bake 20-25 minutes or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  6. Butter tops with melted butter. Break bread!
