Bacon and Broccoli Pasta

Ingredients:

 

3/4 pound your favorite pasta

1 medium head of broccoli, cut into florets

1 shallot diced

4 pieces of cooked and crumbled bacon

2 tbsps. flour

1 tbsp. of butter

½ cup heavy cream

2 oz. mascarpone

1 tbsp. Tastic Spice*

1 cup shaved or grated Parmesan

Basil, Parsley or Cilantro for garnish

 

Preparation:

  1. In a medium pan over medium heat add butter. After it melts add flour and stir constantly for 1 minutes.  When flour and butter are fully incorporated add heavy cream.  Add in shallots and continue to stir over medium heat until slightly thickened.  Add Tastic spice to taste and mascarpone.   Add in broccoli and cheese.  Stir until broccoli is coated well.  Remove from heat.

  2. Bring 4 cups of water to boil in a pot and cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.

  3. Add broccoli mixture to hot pasta with half the bacon.

  4. Garnish with remaining bacon and your favorite fresh herbs.  Serve immediately
